E. Adams in McMinn, Man. Calif. Shrubs 418 (1939), so that, according to Art. 33.3 of ICBN 2006 (Vienna Code), Adams in fact published a comb. nov. based on Arctostaphylos andersonii var. pajaroensis J. E. Adams.
