[In The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2], indicated to be presumed hybrid between Arctostaphylos columbiana and Arctostaphylos uva-ursi. From International Plant Names Index-Gray Card Index: According to P. V. Wells, in Madroño 35(4): 335. 1988, this taxon is a hybrid, and its parents may be: Arctostaphylos uva-ursi X Arctostaphylos columbiana; also Arctostaphylos nevadensis X Arctostaphylos columbiana. Therefore, a Current Status of Jepson Flora Project-10 is appropriate at this time, despite the fact the taxon is not treated fully in The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2].] | |
