San Luis Obispo County: Black Butte Research Natural Area. Common on burned Arctostaphylos luciana chaparral. Annual, flowers blue. Ridge immediately SW of Radio Facility 2 (Peak 1). Soil very thin, substratum a siliceous shale.
Black Butte Research Natural Area. S-facing hillslope immediately adjacent to main ridge road. Approx. 200 m. N of Entrance 1, 1/2 m. N of Mt. Lowe. Disturbed area along roadside. Small-flowered form, very rare in this area. Annual, flowers blue.
