On damp bare soil, open meadow like area in red fir forest, about 70 yards east of the poor dirt road, about 80 yards west of Big Kimshew Creek, about 1 1/2 miles (air) northeast of Jones Meadow, about 2 1/2 miles (air) southeast of Philbrood Reservoir.
Sunset Hill Meadow. Ca 2 air mi W of Forbestown, ca 0.2 mi S of Sunset Hill fire lookout and 300 ft S of Forbestown Rd, at headwaters of New York Creek. At end of old dirt rd at E edge of old homestead site. Near water-hole in center of meadow.
About 40 yards south of Encina Grade Road (Bloomer Hill Road) (Forest Road 21N39), about 40 yards east of Forest Road 21N40, about 3/4 mile (air) west of Bloomer Hill, about 6 miles west of Oroville Quincy Highway.
North edge of a wet area west of a large open meadow and bog, about 20 yards east of the poor dirt road, about 100 yards south of the cabin, about 3/4 mile (air) northwest of Jonesville, about 5 miles (air) northeast of Butte Meadows.
