Lake in granite but upper half Red Mt. basalt., Pinus murrayana around lake, P. monticola on 9423 and to basalt contact on Red Mt., Junipers glaciated granite cliffs to N, Populus tremuloides thickets among basalt blocks S-SW upper slopes Red Mt.
9000 Mystery Lake on broad bench on SE side of Dinkey Creek canyon, 200 above creek, and below 9250 Swede Lake and the 10,400 plus Three Sisters Ridge to the E-SE near headwaters of Dinkey Creek. Lowest tributary N. Fork Kings River.
