Mon Aug 10 16:39:31 2015 | Antonio Valdes (HSC21) | What I did | I contacted Mr. Martz who now works for Department of Fish and Wildlife. He provided the coordinates and the following comments; ____"I looked at my field notes, and I believe I collected this specimen on July 24, 1981. In my notes I located the population in T. 36 N. R. 5 W. Section 2. As I remember, we followed a dirt road west of I-5 for about 0.8 mile. I believe that road is now called Coyote Pass Road. Using Google Maps, I generated the following coordinates for the population: 41.009580 N; -122.417445 W. This may not be the exact spot, but I know this is a large population that extends downslope on serpentine soils between this location and I-5 to the east." |
