Catalog Notes: Dicranoweisia crispula has historically been reported for California, however, based on our examination of the specimens residing in California herbaria, we view these plants, primarily of rock outcrops, to be Dicranoweisia contermina. We expect Dicranoweisia crispula to be located within the Sierra Nevada. See Appendix III for more information.
