Dacryophyllum Ireland, 2004.

Dacryophyllum is a genus endemic to Monterey and Santa Cruz Counties in coastal central California. The cultriform leaves are strongly complanate and closely arranged, reminding one of the much larger neotropical Neckeraceae moss, Isodrepanium. The plant has complanate, non-decurrent, ecostate leaves, and the stem has no hyaloderm. It cannot be confused with any other moss.
