SELECTED EXPERT TESTIMONY EXPERIENCE
• 1984-1985. Expert testimony for U.S. Department of Justice in: State
of California vs. United States, Civil No. S-80-696, U.S.D.C., E.D., Cal.,
ownership of relicted lands at Mono Lake, CA. A precedent-setting case,
affirmed on appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court, relating to the ownership
of lands exposed by evulsion.
• 1987-89. County of Sacramento v. East Bay Municipal Utilities District. Litigation pertaining to environmental impacts of diverting 140,000 acre-feet/year from the American River on the Lower American River Park in Sacramento.
• 1995. Simpson Timber Company Vernal Pool Wetland Enforcement Action. U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Served the Government as an expert on ecological impacts of Eucalyptus plantations on endangered plants and vernal pools (see San Francisco Chronicle, Thursday October 31, 1996, p. A16)
• 1991-94 Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Pipeline Expansion Project.
Directed surveys for endangered plants. $2 billion dollar project with
$4 million dollar restoration costs for vernal pools.
