    Use of Archival Photographs

Terms of Use: Unless an exception is specifically granted in writing:
  • permission is granted for one-time use only.
  • photographic materials will be duplicated in the Scientific Photo Lab in the Valley Life Sciences Building of the University of California at Berkeley, with the negative to be retained in the University and Jepson Herbaria. Costs of prints and negatives will be paid by the user.
  • payment is required in advance, by check only, made out to "UC Regents".
  • a fee to recover administrative costs will also be charged (subject to waiver)*.
  • use of materials should be credited to "Archives, University and Jepson Herbaria, University of California, Berkeley".
  • a copy of the resultant publication is requested for the University and Jepson Library.

    Photographic duplication costs (1998 prices):

  • 4"×5" negatives: $8.90
  • contact prints from 4"×5" negatives: $5.20
  • 5"×7" enlargements: $8.30
  • 8½"×11" enlargements: $11.80

    *Administrative cost recovery fee not yet determined.
