Life History:

direct development demonstrated in culture, with recycling of filamentous thalli by zooids from plurilocular organs, unilocular organs unknown (Wynne 1969a, p. 5); coordination of life history with that of its obligate host (the sporophyte of Postelsia palmaeformis) not yet elucidated

Phenology:

annual plant appearing in June and disappearing in January, restricted to the period when its annual host is mature
