Habit: Annual; hairs simple and tree-like [stalked-forked]. Leaf: simple, dentate to pinnately lobed; cauline sessile or petioled, base not lobed. Inflorescence: elongated. Flower: sepals erect, lateral pair not sac-like at base; petals white to pink or purple, clawed. Fruit: silique, dehiscent, linear, cylindric or 4-angled, unsegmented, stigma conical, 2-lobed, lobes fused. Seed: 40--80, in 1 row, wingless.
