Acmispon junceus (Benth.) Brouillet
Habit: Subshrub (or flowering 1st year, appearing annual), finely strigose, hairs straight. Stem: not woody, 0.8--4 dm, leafy. Leaf: irregularly subpalmate; stipules gland-like, black; leaflets 3--5, 5--10 mm, oblanceolate to obovate, generally green; axis sometimes flat, blade-like. Inflorescence: 2--8-flowered, bract present or 0. Flower: calyx 3--5 mm, lobes generally < 1 mm, < tube, straight, finely strigose; corolla 6--8 mm, yellow, keel < other petals; stigma glabrous. Fruit: indehiscent, ascending to divergent, 6--8 mm, oblong-tapered, generally arched to +- straight, generally not flat; beak curved, 2--3 mm. Seed: 1--2.
