Camissoniopsis robusta (P.H. Raven) W.L. Wagner & Hoch
Habit: Annual, rosetted; hairs spreading, in inflorescence also glandular. Stem: erect, < 60 cm. Leaf: 10--80 mm; cauline narrowly lance-elliptic, minutely dentate, +- sessile. Flower: hypanthium 1.8--3.7 mm; sepals 2.6--4.2 mm; petals 3.2--7 mm, basal spots 1--2. Fruit: 14--25 mm, 1.5--2 mm wide, not especially stout, 4-angled, generally 1-coiled. Seed: 0.9--1.2 mm. Chromosomes: 2n=42.
Ecology: Coastal-sage scrub, chaparral, generally in disturbed areas; Elevation: < 300 m. Bioregional Distribution: ChI (Santa Cruz, San Clemente, Santa Catalina islands), PR; Distribution Outside California: northern Baja California. Flowering Time: Mar--Aug Note: Self-pollinated. Probably derived from Camissoniopsis lewisii × Camissoniopsis intermedia.
