Camissoniopsis intermedia (P.H. Raven) W.L. Wagner & Hoch
Habit: Annual, rosetted; hairs dense, spreading, in inflorescence also glandular. Stem: +- erect, < 60 cm. Leaf: 10--120 mm; cauline lanceolate to narrowly ovate, minutely dentate, +- sessile. Flower: hypanthium 1.2--2 mm; sepals 1--2.5 mm; petals 1.5--3.5(4.5) mm, basal spots 1--2. Fruit: 13--25 mm, 1.1--1.2 mm wide, cylindric, drying +- 4-angled, straight to 1-coiled. Seed: 0.7--1 mm. Chromosomes: 2n=28.
Ecology: Shrubby slopes, especially burns; Elevation: 300--800 m. Bioregional Distribution: NW, CW, SW; Distribution Outside California: northern Baja California. Flowering Time: Mar--May Note: Self-pollinated. Probably derived from Camissoniopsis hirtella × Camissoniopsis micrantha.
