Camissoniopsis hardhamiae (P.H. Raven) W.L. Wagner & Hoch
Habit: Annual, robust, rosetted; hairs spreading, in inflorescence also glandular. Stem: erect, < 60 cm. Leaf: 10--120 mm; cauline widely lanceolate to narrowly ovate, minutely dentate, +- sessile. Flower: hypanthium 1.7--2 mm; sepals 1.8--3.2 mm; petals 2--4 mm, basal spots 0; 70--100% of pollen grains 4--5-angled. Fruit: 13--25 mm, 1.3--1.6 mm wide, not especially stout, +- cylindric, drying +- 4-angled, straight to 1-coiled. Seed: 0.7--1.1 mm. Chromosomes: 2n=42.
Ecology: Sandy soil, limestone, disturbed oak woodland; Elevation: 240--600 m. Bioregional Distribution: SCoRO (Monterey, San Luis Obispo cos.). Flowering Time: Mar--May Note: Self-pollinated. Probably derived from Camissoniopsis micrantha × Camissoniopsis intermedia.
