Streptanthus vimineus (Greene) Al-Shehbaz & D.W. Taylor
Habit: Annual, glabrous except occasionally sepals. Stem: erect, 1--7.5 dm, branched above base. Leaf: basal not rosetted, early-deciduous, narrowly ovate to oblong, entire; mid-cauline sessile, 2--12 cm, linear to narrowly lance-linear, entire, base lobed; distal similar, reduced. Inflorescence: open, generally 1-sided; terminal sterile flower cluster 0. Flower: calyx urn-shaped, sepals 6--8 mm, lance-ovate, keeled, recurved at tip, +- green to +- purple (sparsely hairy); petals 8--12 mm, 2--3 mm wide, unequal, adaxial pair > lower, not crinkled, white, veins purple; filaments in 3 pairs of unequal length; longest pair completely fused, 7--11 mm, recurved, lower pair 4--7 mm, fused proximally; fertile anthers 2--2.7 mm. Fruit: spreading, 3.5--6.5 cm, 1--1.2 mm wide, recurved, +- constricted between seeds; valves glabrous, midvein obscure; stigma entire; pedicel spreading, 1--3(6) mm, straight. Seed: 28--40, 1--1.5 mm, narrowly oblong; wing 0--0.1 mm wide at tip.
Ecology: Serpentine grassland, ridges, barrens, openings in chaparral; Elevation: 250--800 m. Bioregional Distribution: NCoRI (Colusa, Lake, Napa cos.). Flowering Time: May--Jul
