Eremogone cliftonii Rabeler & R.L. Hartm.
Habit: Perennial herb, tufted, green, not glaucous. Stem: 15--35 cm, rounded, +- dull, glabrous. Leaf: 10--60 mm, 0.7--1.1 mm wide, sharp-pointed, vein 1. Inflorescence: terminal, open; flowers several to many; pedicels (5)10--25 mm, glandular-hairy. Flower: sepals 3--5.5(6.5) mm, in fruit < 6 mm, generally obtuse to rounded (especially inner sepals) or broadly acute, often abruptly soft-pointed; petals 12--18 mm; nectaries 0.5--0.6 mm, rounded. Fruit: 7.5--9 mm. Seed: 5--9, 2--3 mm, ovate, compressed, black; tubercles low, rounded, often elongate.
Ecology: Decomposing granite in meadows, oak/conifer woodland; Elevation: 455--1770 m. Bioregional Distribution: n SN (Butte, Plumas cos.). Flowering Time: Apr--Jul
