Boechera bodiensis (Rollins) Al-Shehbaz
Habit: Caudex +- woody. Stem: generally 1 per caudex branch, from center of basal rosette at +- ground surface; 1.5--3.5 dm, proximally with short-stalked, 5--10-rayed hairs to 0.7 mm. Leaf: basal 1--3 mm wide, entire, hairs short-stalked, 5--10-rayed, 0.08--0.25 mm; cauline 4--9, distal hairy, basal lobes 0.5--2 mm. Inflorescence: 8--25-flowered, not 1-sided in fruit; fruit pedicel ascending to spreading-ascending, straight, 3--7 mm, hairs appressed, branched. Flower: sepals hairy; petals 4--5 mm, +- 1 mm wide, lavender to purple; pollen spheric. Fruit: spreading-ascending, not appressed, 4--6.2 cm, 1.2--1.8 mm wide, glabrous; style 0.1--0.2 mm; ovules 48--68. Seed: in 1 row, 1--1.5 mm; wing 0.1--0.15 mm wide.
Ecology: Rocky soil, igneous rock crevices; Elevation: 2400--2900 m. Bioregional Distribution: SNE (n Mono Co.); Distribution Outside California: western Nevada. Flowering Time: Jul--Aug
