Eucalyptus pulchella Desf.
Stem: < 20 m, branches erect; bark shedding in long strips, smooth, occasionally shaggy or rough near base, white to blue-gray. Leaf: 5--10 cm, generally < 0.5 cm wide, linear, dark green, +- peppermint odor when crushed. Inflorescence: umbel, 9--15-flowered. Flower: hypanthium +- 2 mm, obconic, +- = bud cap; bud cap hemispheric; stamens white. Fruit: 4--6 mm, ovoid to cup-shaped; valves not exserted.
Ecology: Uncommon. Disturbed areas; Elevation: < 200 m. Bioregional Distribution: SnFrB; Distribution Outside California: native to southeastern Australia, rarely cultivated in California. Flowering Time: Dec--Feb
