Leptosiphon breviculus (A. Gray) J.M. Porter & L.A. Johnson
Habit: Annual, hairy. Stem: 10--25 cm. Leaf: lobes 3--10 mm, linear to lance-linear. Inflorescence: head; bract lobes not connected at base. Flower: calyx 7--8 mm, membranes as wide as lobes; corolla salverform, tube 15--25 mm, maroon, glabrous, throat purple, lobes 4--6 mm, rounded, white, pink, or blue; stamens generally included. Chromosomes: 2n=18.
Ecology: Deserts, dry montane areas; Elevation: < 2400 m. Bioregional Distribution: SnGb, SnBr, DMoj. Flowering Time: May--Aug
