Monardella viminea Greene
Habit: Subshrub, cespitose. Stem: erect, 25--50 cm, densely short-hairy, appearing glaucous-green. Leaf: 20--40 mm, 2--4 mm wide, linear to narrowly lanceolate, minutely puberulent, appearing glaucous. Inflorescence: flower cluster 1 per main stem (or several in +- panicle), 20--30 mm wide; bracts 10--15 mm, 5--9 mm wide, exceeding calyx, lanceolate, acuminate, conspicuously gland-dotted, green-white, occasionally rose-tipped. Flower: corolla white to rose.
Ecology: Rocky washes with cobbles, 2° alluvial benches; Elevation: < 400 m. Bioregional Distribution: s SCo (San Diego Co.). Flowering Time: Jun--Aug Note: Threatened by development.
