Leptosiphon montanus (Greene) J.M. Porter & L.A. Johnson
Habit: Annual, hairy. Stem: 10--60 cm. Leaf: lobes 20--30 mm, linear. Inflorescence: head; bracts white-ciliate. Flower: calyx +- 10 mm, hairy-ciliate, membranes 1/2 calyx, wider than lobes; corolla salverform, tube 25--30 mm, maroon, hairy outside, throat yellow, lobes 5--8 mm, white or pink with purple spot at base flanked by white; stamens at mouth or exserted. Chromosomes: 2n=18.
Ecology: Dry openings in woodland; Elevation: 300--1700 m. Bioregional Distribution: SNF. Flowering Time: Apr--Jul
