Trifolium cernuum Brot.
Habit: Annual, glabrous. Stem: prostrate to ascending. Leaf: cauline; stipules lance-triangular, tip long-pointed; leaflets 0.4--1.5 cm, obovate to obcordate, tip blunt or notched, veins prominent abaxially. Inflorescence: axillary, 1 cm; peduncle short; bracts lanceolate; flowers quickly reflexed. Flower: calyx 4 mm, lobes narrowly triangular, +- = tube, upper 2 > lower 3; corolla 4--5 mm, > calyx lobes, pink, banner tip notched. Seed: 1--4. Chromosomes: 2n=16.
