Mimulus evanescens Meinke
Habit: Annual 6--25 cm, glandular-puberulent. Leaf: 1--4 cm, broadly ovate to +- lanceolate, lowest not in basal rosette, sessile except at plant base. Flower: pedicel 8--18 mm, generally < leaves, calyx 3.5--6.5 mm, 7--11 mm and swollen in fruit, tube glabrous, lobes equal, 0.8--1.6 mm in fruit, ciliate; corolla yellow, tube-throat 4--9.5 mm; placentas axile. Fruit: 5--9 mm.
Ecology: Among rocks and boulders on moist gravel, previously flooded; Elevation: 1200--1700 m. Bioregional Distribution: MP; Distribution Outside California: to southwestern Idaho. Flowering Time: Jul
