Trifolium jokerstii Vincent & Rand. Morgan
Habit: Annual, glabrous except calyx. Stem: decumbent to erect. Leaf: +- cauline; stipules conspicuous, lanceolate to ovate, lower generally overlapped, +- serrate; leaflets 0.5--3.2 cm, elliptic to obovate, generally with prominent white to purple chevron. Inflorescence: head, 12--30 mm wide, 5--many-flowered; involucre bowl-shaped, glabrous, lobes rounded, toothed. Flower: calyx tube 5-veined, lobes simple, entire, bristle at tip 3--4.5 mm, plumose; corolla gold- to sulphur-yellow, lower part of banner inflating. Seed: 1--2, > 3 mm.
Ecology: Vernal pool; Elevation: < 400 m. Bioregional Distribution: ScV (North Table Mtn Plateau, Butte Co.). Flowering Time: Mar--May
