Bacopa monnieri (L.) Wettst.
Leaf: generally 5--25 mm, narrowly +- obovate; vein 1. Inflorescence: pedicel 8--40 mm, generally > leaf; bractlets 2, near tip. Flower: outer sepals 5--7 mm, lanceolate to ovate; corolla 8--10 mm, white to pink or blue; anthers 0.6--1.1 mm, little, if at all, exserted. Chromosomes: 2n=64.
Ecology: Wet soil or in shallow water, disturbed wetlands; Elevation: < 180 m. Bioregional Distribution: s SCo, DSon; Distribution Outside California: to southern United States; native to tropics. Flowering Time: All year
