Coronilla valentina L. subsp. glauca (L.) Batt.
Habit: Perennial herb, small shrub, to 1 m. Leaf: stipules 2--6 mm, ovate to lanceolate, membranous; petiole short; leaflets 4--6, <= 20 mm, obovate, notched. Inflorescence: head-like, 4--10(12)-flowered. Flower: corolla 7--12 mm, glabrous, yellow, keel acute; stamens 10, 9 fused, 1 free. Fruit: indehiscent, 1--5 cm, with 1--4(10) segments, spindle-shaped, +- compressed.
Ecology: waif; Elevation: < 400 m. Bioregional Distribution: PR, expected elsewhere; Distribution Outside California: native to Mediterranean region, especially southern Portugal. Flowering Time: Mar--Jun
