Stachys bergii G.A. Mulligan & D.B. Munro
Habit: Densely woolly, hairs silvery. Stem: erect, 0.3--0.6 m, branched; sides, angles densely woolly, not glandular, hairs spreading and reflexed, +- silvery. Leaf: petioles < 1 cm, blade 2--5 cm, narrowly lanceolate to oblong, base +- rounded, tip acute. Inflorescence: > 5 cm, interrupted, clusters 6-flowered, bracts gradually reduced distally. Flower: calyx tube 4--5 mm, lobes 2.5--3 mm; corolla pink, tube 7--10 mm, ring of hairs > 2 mm from base, oblique, upper lip 3.5--5.5 mm, lower 6--10 mm. Chromosomes: 2n=34.
Ecology: Dry slopes near coast, possibly near serpentine; Elevation: < 900 m. Bioregional Distribution: NCo (Del Norte Co.). Flowering Time: Jun--Sep
