Gilia interior (H. Mason & A.D. Grant) A.D. Grant
Stem: branches spreading, 6--13 cm, tufted-woolly-hairy below inflorescence, glandular above. Leaf: basal in rosette, 1-pinnate-lobed, tufted-woolly-hairy; axis 1--2 mm wide; lobes entire or toothed, 1--2 × axis width, spreading. Inflorescence: flowers 1--2; pedicels 2--20 mm, unequal. Flower: calyx 2.6--3.6 mm, glandular; corolla 6--11 mm, 2--3 × lobes, tube purple, throat yellow, purple-spotted or with 1 spot at lobe base, lobes (2)3--5 mm, lavender; stamens, style exserted, longest stamens exceeding corolla lobe middle. Fruit: 3--6 mm, <= calyx, narrowly ovoid. Seed: 9--27. Chromosomes: 2n=18.
Ecology: Rocky slopes, open woodland, scrub; Elevation: 700--1700 m. Bioregional Distribution: s SNF, Teh, WTR. Flowering Time: Apr--May
