Flower: hypanthium +- shallow, bractlets 5; sepals +- triangular; petals > sepals, obovate to round, yellow [white]; stamens generally 20--25, pollen sac 1, horseshoe-shaped; pistils generally many, ovaries superior, styles +- club-shaped, attached near fruit base. Fruit: achene, +- hairy.
