Stem: lower internodes +- = upper. Leaf: lower generally widely ovate to +- round, abruptly sharp-pointed, distal leaves as wide or wider, generally acute.
Ecology: Rocky desert slopes, margins of washes; Elevation: 15--3350 m. Bioregional Distribution: s SNE, n D; Distribution Outside California: to southwestern Utah, southern Nevada, northwestern Arizona. Flowering Time: Feb--Jun
