Habit: Plant < 4 m, not mounded. Stem: branches erect to ascending, twigs glabrous (hairy). Leaf: 5--13 mm, generally linear to oblanceolate, tips generally acute-acuminate. Inflorescence: open, 0.5--17.2 cm.
Ecology: Dry slopes, ridges, chaparral; Elevation: < 1830 m. Bioregional Distribution: NCoR, CaRF, SN, CW, SW; Distribution Outside California: southwestern Oregon, Baja California. Flowering Time: May--Jun
