Oenothera deltoides Torr. & Frém. subsp. deltoides
Habit: Annual; hairs spreading, 1--1.5 mm distally, also minutely strigose or not. Stem: generally 2--10 dm, +- branched from base. Leaf: distal dentate. Flower: bud tip obtuse to acute; sepal free tips 0--1 mm; petals 15--43 mm. Fruit: base 2--3 mm wide.
Ecology: Sandy soils, including dunes; Elevation: generally < 1100 m. Bioregional Distribution: D; Distribution Outside California: southern Nevada, western Arizona, northwestern Mexico. Flowering Time: Mar--May
