Gilia ochroleuca subsp. exilis (A. Gray) A.D. Grant & V.E. Grant
Habit: Plant yellow-green. Stem: branches suberect, generally tufted-woolly-hairy (glandular). Leaf: tufted-woolly-hairy, entire to generally 1-pinnate-lobed. Inflorescence: glabrous or glandular. Flower: calyx 2.3--3.2 mm, +- tufted-woolly-hairy, lobes acute to acuminate; corolla 8--11 mm, tube +- exserted, > throat, tube white, generally purple-streaked, throat yellow proximally, blue distally, lobes blue (entire corolla +- yellow); style +- exserted; stigmas near or just exceeding anthers. Fruit: 3.8--4.5 mm, spheric to ovoid.
Ecology: Common. Flats; Elevation: 100--2500 m. Bioregional Distribution: SCo, SnGb, s SnBr, PR, w D; Distribution Outside California: Baja California. Flowering Time: Mar--Aug Note: Small-flowered race in southeastern PR.
