Trifolium breweri S. Watson
Habit: Perennial herb, puberulent. Stem: decumbent to ascending. Leaf: cauline; stipules sheathing to lanceolate; leaflets 5--20 mm, generally obovate, +- entire to serrate. Inflorescence: umbel-like, generally turned to side, 1--2 cm wide, 5--15-flowered; pedicels 2--5 mm; flowers or some becoming reflexed. Flower: calyx 3.5--5 mm, +- 10-veined, lobes > tube; corolla 5--8 mm, yellow-white to pink-lavender. Fruit: generally exserted from corolla. Seed: 1. Chromosomes: 2n=16.
Ecology: Dry forest, open areas, roadsides; Elevation: 200--1800 m. Bioregional Distribution: KR, CaR, n&c SN; Distribution Outside California: Oregon. Flowering Time: May--Aug
