Leaf: leaflets +- 20--34, 0.8--2.5 cm, elliptic to elliptic-oblong. Inflorescence: 5--15-flowered. Fruit: 4--8 cm, oblong. Chromosomes: 2n=12.
Ecology: Along streams, lake shores, other moist sites, roadsides, often cultivated as ornamental; Elevation: < 200 m. Bioregional Distribution: NCoRO, GV, SnFrB, probably elsewhere; Distribution Outside California: southeastern United States; native to South America. Flowering Time: Jun--Sep
