Potamogeton robbinsii Oakes
Habit: Perennial herb, rhizomed. Stem: < 200 cm, branches generally many, cylindric. Leaf: submersed, +- stiff, 2-ranked, sessile, < 12 cm, 3--4(8) mm wide, linear to lanceolate, generally finely serrate, veins 20--60, fine; stipules 0.5--2 cm, fused to blade base, fibrous, sheath-like basally, free, liguled, shredding at tips, green-brown to white. Inflorescence: < 2 cm, flowers few, paired. Fruit: < 4 mm, keels 3, sides convex.
Ecology: Deep water, lakes; Elevation: 1600--3300 m. Bioregional Distribution: KR, c&s SNH; Distribution Outside California: to Alaska, eastern United States. Flowering Time: Aug--Sep Note: Fruit rarely collected.
