Pogogyne clareana J.T. Howell
Habit: Hairs sparse, short. Stem: erect, 15--25 cm, slender, few-branched. Inflorescence: generally < 10 mm wide; bract tips generally obtuse to rounded. Flower: calyx 4--4.5 mm, coarsely ciliate, tube 2 mm, lobe tips flat; corolla 10--15 mm, funnel-shaped, hairy outside; style hairy 2 mm below unequal stigma lobes. Fruit: 1.5 mm.
Ecology: Creek beds, swales, vernal pools; Elevation: 300--400 m. Bioregional Distribution: SCoRO (Fort Hunter Liggett, Monterey Co.). Flowering Time: Mar--Jun Note: Threatened by human disturbance.
