Penstemon azureus Benth.
Habit: Perennial herb 20--70 cm, with woody branches proximally, glabrous. Leaf: generally cauline; distal leaves widest at generally cordate-clasping base, entire. Inflorescence: glabrous. Flower: corolla 20--35 mm, (lavender-)blue, glabrous; anther sacs 1.8--3.5 mm, dehiscing across common end 1/2--2/3 their length, inner margins hairy; staminode glabrous.
