Nama aretioides (Hook. & Arn.) Brand
Habit: Hairs generally dense, coarse, appressed to spreading, generally swollen at base. Stem: prostrate, 3--12 cm, repeatedly forked. Leaf: +- sessile. Inflorescence: flowers sessile. Flower: calyx lobes narrowly linear to lanceolate; corolla 5--18 mm, salverform, limb > 3.5 mm diam, lobes >= 2 mm wide; fused parts of filaments unwinged; style 1, lobes 2, < 1/2 length. Fruit: 2--4 mm. Seed: generally compressed, irregularly elliptic-ovoid, brown to black, smooth to minute-cross-ridged, with depressions. Chromosomes: 2n=14.
