Monardella robisonii Munz
Habit: Subshrub to shrub. Stem: 15--50 cm, erect, multi-branched mid-stem to tip, appearing +- gray, hairs long-spreading and short-erect or -reflexed, surface partially obscured. Leaf: 8--20 mm, 2--6 mm wide, lanceolate to narrowly ovate, entire, ash-gray or pale ash-gray. Inflorescence: +- cyme- to panicle-like; flower cluster (1)3--several per main stem, 10--25 mm wide; bracts 9--12 mm, 3--5 mm wide, narrowly ovate, scarious, pink-tinged or not. Flower: calyx 6--9 mm, lobes narrowly acute; corolla 9--11 mm, pale rose to pale blue.
Ecology: Desert scrub, pinyon/juniper woodland, among granite boulders; Elevation: 950--1350 m. Bioregional Distribution: s DMoj. Flowering Time: Jun--Sep Note: Intergrades with Monardella linoides subsp. linoides in western Little San Bernardino Mountains Plants in Sheephole Mtns have characteristics intermediate with those of Monardella mojavensis.
