Monardella hypoleuca A. Gray
Habit: Subshrub, matted or tufted, cespitose to rhizomed. Stem: 10--55 cm, ascending to erect, glabrous or short- to long-hairy, purple. Leaf: 20--50 mm, 3--19 mm wide, lance-linear to narrowly ovate, +- flat to margins rolled-under; adaxially +- glabrous to densely hairy, green; abaxially white-tomentose, felt-like or woolly. Inflorescence: flower clusters 1--several per main stem, 10--35 mm wide, occasionally subtended by unmodified leaves; bracts lanceolate to ovate. Flower: calyx 6--9 mm; corolla 15--17 mm, white to lavender, lobes obtuse; stamens exserted.
