Mimulus norrisii Heckard & Shevock
Habit: Annual generally 3--15 cm, ascending, hairy. Leaf: 15--45 mm; blade ovate, +- tapered to petiole, veins pinnate. Flower: pedicel 10--50 mm; calyx 3.5--6 mm, hairy, ribs wide, +- purple, lobes equal, 1--2 mm, rounded; corolla yellow, tube-throat 15--30 mm, lobe base with 1 large, central, red-purple dot, 2 +- white dots occasionally present between lobe sinuses; placentas axile. Fruit: 4--6 mm, growing away from light, late-dehiscent. Chromosomes: 2n=32.
Ecology: Marble crevices; Elevation: 600--1300 m. Bioregional Distribution: s SNF (Kaweah River drainage, Tulare Co.). Flowering Time: Mar--May
