Mimulus breviflorus Piper NATIVE Habit: Annual 2--17 cm, puberulent. Leaf: petioled, 3--28 mm, elliptic. Flower: pedicel 3--16 mm, ascending in fruit; calyx 2--6 mm in flower, 3.5--9.5 mm and swollen in fruit, generally glabrous, lobes equal, < 1 mm, acute, generally ciliate; corolla yellow, tube-throat 3--6.5 mm; placentas axile. Fruit: 3--6.5 mm. Ecology: Uncommon. Moist places; Elevation: 1500--2200 m. Bioregional Distribution: n SNH, MP; Distribution Outside California: to Washington, Idaho, Nevada.
