Lycium verrucosum Eastw.
Habit: Hairy; branches spreading; thorns thick. Leaf: 5--10 mm, narrowly obovate. Flower: calyx 4 mm, bell-shaped, lobes +- 3--4, 2--3.5 mm, +- = tube, lanceolate; corolla 8--10 mm, lavender, tube cylindric, lobes narrowly obovate; stamens +- exserted, attached near tube top. Fruit: red. Seed: many.
Ecology: Habitat unknown; Elevation: < 100 m. Bioregional Distribution: s ChI (San Nicolas Island). Flowering Time: Apr Note: Known only from type specimen; perhaps merely a form of Lycium brevipes.
