Lycium parishii A. Gray
Habit: Glandular-hairy, intricately spreading-branched. Leaf: 5--30 mm, oblanceolate. Flower: calyx 2.5--5 mm, bell-shaped, lobes 5, 2--4 mm, +- = tube, oblong-ovate; corolla narrowly funnel-shaped, purple, tube 2.5--6 mm, lobes +- 1 mm, ovate; stamens +- exserted, attached +- at tube middle. Fruit: 4--6 mm, red. Seed: 7--12.
Ecology: Sandy to rocky slopes, canyons; Elevation: < 1000 m. Bioregional Distribution: e SCo, w DSon; Distribution Outside California: Arizona, northwestern Mexico. Flowering Time: Mar--Apr
