Lotus angustissimus L.
Habit: Annual, spreading-hairy. Stem: +- prostrate, solid. Leaf: leaflets 8--12 mm, elliptic to narrowly obovate, tip obtuse. Inflorescence: 1--3-flowered; peduncle 0.3--2 cm. Flower: calyx 6--7 mm, lobes > tube, not outcurved in bud; corolla 5--8(12) mm, yellow. Fruit: 1.5--3 cm, linear, glabrous. Seed: several. Chromosomes: 2n=12,24.
Ecology: Disturbed grassland, roadsides; Elevation: < 1000 m. Bioregional Distribution: NCo (Sonoma, Mendocino cos.); Distribution Outside California: native to Europe. Flowering Time: Jun--Aug
