Limnanthes montana Jeps.
Habit: Ascending to erect; herbage glabrous to sparsely long-hairy. Stem: 10--40 cm. Leaf: 3--15 cm; leaflets 7--11, linear to ovate, entire to deeply 3-lobed, lobes entire to lobed. Flower: funnel-shaped; sepals 3--6 mm; petals 7--12 mm, curving over fruit in age, white, base occasionally +- yellow, veins +- purple, aging white; filaments 2.5--4 mm, anthers 0.5--0.75(1) mm, cream; style 2.5--4 mm. Fruit: mericarps, tubercles low, conic.
Ecology: Wet meadows, stream edges; Elevation: 200--1800 m. Bioregional Distribution: c&s SNF. Flowering Time: Mar--May Note: Plants in Madera, Mariposa cos. have larger anthers.
