Galium sparsiflorum W. Wight
Habit: Perennial herb, erect, 20--50 cm, loose-tufted, base woody; dioecious. Leaf: in whorls of 4, 6--25 mm, widely elliptic to ovate, 3-veined, tip abruptly soft-pointed; +- petioled. Staminate Inflorescence: panicle, open, leafy, clusters many-flowered. Pistillate Inflorescence: flowers generally 1 in axils. Flower: corolla rotate, generally +- yellow. Fruit: berry, occasionally hairy.
